Educational camping at home

Your child is now ready to discover more experiences together! This is the perfect age to push their imagination to the next stage, camping… at home. You can even spend a whole day with this activity, from preparing the "animals" and setting up your tent, until you let the child explore the space around them and the creatures hiding here and there.

The preparation of animals

Take your child's favorite fabric and plush pets and hide them at various points in the house. You can make their hideouts using furniture, or cut some green cardboard trees to make the animal nests look more authentic! Then draw and cut animal footprints and place them where your tent will be set up so that your little one can trace them later.

Let's set up the tent

Once all the animals are ready, you have to put aside the living room furniture - because our travel scene will be so big! Insert four chairs to form the four corners of a square and cover them with a double sheet. Back up the sheets with some heavy books - and the tent is ready! Throw in some pillows and blankets to keep the interior warm and comfortable!

Let's explore!

Before you begin your exploration, tell your child some stories about all the creatures of wildlife! Leo the Lion is lazy in the sunshine! Barney the Bear loves honey! Then, follow along with your toddler to find the animal hideouts. After gathering all the animals, bring them into the tent and have a little party!

And, do not forget to have your video camera on stage as well as on the road to the jungle, to record the joyous adventures of your little camper and share them with your friends and family!
