Happy feet

Hands and feet ... on paper!

Day by day your child becomes stronger and more active. So, this is the perfect time to discover more experiences together, playing with their hands and feet! You can help them make the imprint of their palm or foot, paint after the imprints by creating small works of art, or even walk bare foot to feel the grass!

Make paint

Time to wear your apron and create your paint! You can, of course, buy ready-made baby paint, but it is even better to make it yourself with materials that you can find in your kitchen.

You will need:
2 cups of corn flour
1 cup of cold water
4 1/5 cups of warm water
Colors suitable for young children
Glass jars for the paint

The instructions for making paint are simple:
1. Pour the cornflour in cold water and mix.
2. Add hot water to the mixture and mix until it thickens.
3. When the mixture has thickened, put it in the jars and mix each in a different color.

That's it! Your handmade paint is ready!

Take their fingerprints!

It's time for fun with your child! Because this game is definitely… dirty, you better play it at the yard or the park. Put your toddler's hands and feet in paint, and then press their palm on a white paper. You can now ask them to count how many fingers they see on the paper to see if they are counting the fingers on their hand or foot.

Handmade art

But why limit yourself to fingerprints? Your child can create their own artwork by transforming their colorful prints into sunflowers or trees: complete a few brushstrokes around the shape of the fingers to make the leaves or petals, and the painting is ready!

The sense of nature

While painting in the yard or in the park, it is an opportunity to give your child an exciting sensory experience! Take off both of your shoes and walk barefoot on the grass, touch the plants or stones you meet on your way, and teach your child to differentiate each object's texture with their hand or foot.

And most importantly: when framing their paintings in the living room, don't forget to take a photo so we can admire your child's work! We look forward to seeing them!
